Frequently Asked Questions

Miami Photographer

What makes you different from other Photographers

Photography isn’t just a career or a passion – it’s a creative outlet that let’s us capture moments we will never get back. I pride myself on making each session unique, fun, and classic! We don’t want to look back at the photos and have a “you can tell it was taken in the 80’s” perspective. I strive to create photography that you can hang on your walls year round, for many many years. JMP loves candid moments more than posed, stiff ones – so be prepared to have FUN! Lots of laughing, tickling, running and cuddling!

What do I get when I purchase a session?

Depending on the session you purchase you will usually get the following:

  • My time & talent for the allotted time you purchased at the location of your choice
  • Digital download of your images from your gallery
  • Images formatted for social media
  • Two-week online gallery with password for you to share with friends and family
  • Print Credits depending on session that is purchased

How much do you charge?

Every session is unique, and pricing is determined prior to the shoot. I want to share in your special moments, such as Engagement Sessions, Maternity Shoots, Newborn Portraiture, and so much more! Please use the link below to inquire on pricing for your session!

Do you have a studio?

At this time, I do not have a studio. Your investment includes my traveling to the location of your choice within 20 miles of 33144. Any travel outside of that is subject to a travel fee depending on the distance. For newborn photography I have a traveling studio where I can set up at your house (as long as certain lighting and space requirements are met).

Do you photograph on the weekends?

As of right now, I am only able to photograph during the weekends as I also hold a full time job during the week. Family sessions are scheduled around 1 hour before sunset (depending on the type of session and length), and newborn sessions are scheduled in the morning dependent on your baby’s feeding schedule.

When should I schedule my maternity session?

Sessions are best when you are 32-37 weeks. JMP’s calendar is usually booked 3 months in advance. Scheduling your maternity session early will ensure we can fit you in our schedule! Sometimes, new moms aren’t sure they even want maternity photos until the very last minute – please feel free to contact us regardless and perhaps we can find space! If not, we are always more than happy to refer you to some of our favorite photography friends.

When should I schedule my newborn session?

If you are expecting, you should contact me as soon as possible! Newbie photography should be done during the first 10-12 days of life so it is never too early to start having the discussion of a newborn session, plus I want to make sure I keep my schedule as open as possible for your delivery since we can always plan, but we are usually at the mercy of the tiny human growing inside of you!

What happens after I book a session with you?

Well first of all, you become a part of the JMP Family where you get to be a part of this super-secret club where you get early notifications for specials, sales, and mini session! Secondly, once your contract is signed and payment has been made, you will receive an e-mail with some preliminary information regarding your session. As we get closer to the session you will get e-mails with tips on making your session the best it can be, what wardrobe choices look best, and other information for you to prepare for your session as well as what to expect the day of the session.

I’ve read all of this information and I can’t wait to book my session, so how do I get a hold of you?

You can e-mail me at any time for any additional questions and/or to book your session!
